The book I am reading at the moment is one of the set books for a course on postcolonial literature that I’m currently taking. It’s Burger’s Daughter by Nadine Gordimer who lives in South Africa. The heroine is the daughter of a dead political activist and the book is about her quest for her own identity. Not the easiest read but Gordimer is able to evoke multiple images with her words.
