The prompt words this week are touching, visible and stage. Thank you pia.
She was just visible
through the rain
which had moulded
her skimpy clothes to her urchin’s form
and made a skull cap of her curly hair;
a young woman boxing
an invisible punch bag,
her anger frothing over
like uncorked champagne
touching the lives around her.
She then let loose
an e-e-e-elongated
ear assaulting
scream.
At last she had taken
centre stage.

This is very descriptive: I can clearly see her in mind… even without the picture

To me this is a magnificent plea for the person to be sustantial. We’ve all felt like that at times, I think.
Well done!

I have always loved this painting by Munch! A great poem to match it!

An intersting interpretation of The Scream. It’s sad that only in anguish does the girl get the attention she deserves.
